Pharmacy Management Jobs

Hospital Pharmacy Management Jobs

Grand Rapids, MI
Amherst Healthcare, a Leader in Pharmacist Recruitment has multiple Hospital Pharmacy Management Jobs throughout the country. It is no surprise to anyone when we say that the job outlook for pharmacists in various cities and states throughout the country is very bleak. With so many hospitals already closed and others on the brink of financial collapse the likelihood of being able to work a desirable shift is extremely low. When you have pharmacists who have completed a PGY1 Residency looking for work on the evening shift or just about any other shift that comes open, it is a glaring sign that things are probably going to get worse before they get better.

There are 1 of 3 things that could happen that would improve the outlook for pharmacist jobs in your city or state: 1. A lot of currently employed pharmacists retire. If this happens it will open up a lot of positions for all of the pharmacist who are currently looking to make a change. (This is not very likely to happen anytime soon, especially since the nation is still technically in a recession)
2. A lot of pharmacists would have to relocate thereby opening up positions for those that remain. (Also not a likely option, many pharmacists are settled and not looking to pick up and start over.) 3. You can be preemptive and not wait for your hospital to fall into financial disarray and decide to relocate for your own sake and the sake of your family.
We feel that Option #3 is the best possible option available and as such we have several pharmacy management positions from a few different states for those interested in exploring a pharmacy job in other states. Our pharmacy management jobs include Director of Pharmacy Jobs, Clinical Pharmacy Manager Jobs, Assistant Director of Pharmacy Jobs, and Pharmacy Supervisor Jobs. A few of our Immediate Pharmacy Management Jobs include, but are not limited to:
*Director of Pharmacy position at a 400+ bed hospital in Dallas, Texas. (Must have current or prior DOP experience at a similar size hospital. Cost of living is dirt-cheap in Texas and you can probably buy a mansion for the price of a NY studio apartment. There is also no state income tax in Texas. Yes, everything is bigger in Texas and that goes for your paychecks as well)
*Director of Pharmacy job available for a 170 bed hospital in a growing city in New Mexico. Compensation is very competitive, but DOP candidate must have prior experience as a Director of Pharmacy in a For-Profit hospital!
*Assistant Director of Pharmacy for Maryland hospital. This is an exceptional opportunity for a pharmacy manager to move up the pharmacist career ladder. This is an excellent hospital and pharmacists with experience as a Hospital Pharmacy Manager, Hospital Pharmacy Supervisor or experience as an Assistant Director of Pharmacy will all be equally considered based on what they bring to the table.
*Home Infusion Manager Jobs in Rochester, NY; Birmingham, AL; Philadelphia, PA; St. Louis, MO; and Chicago, IL. (Great opportunities available in major cities throughout the U.S. and more to come in 2011. There is a strong preference for pharmacist who have Home Infusion experience from a Home Health Care organization. Pharmacist are expected to already hold a pharmacy license in the state, which they are looking to work.)
*Clinical Pharmacy Managers wanted in Richmond Virginia. Must have clinical pharmacy experience, as well as hospital management experience.
*Clinical Pharmacy Managers wanted in Las Vegas, Nevada. Pharmacist candidates must possess a Doctorate of Pharmacy Degree and multiple years of hospital pharmacy management experience, in addition to 2 or more years of experience as a Clinical Pharmacist.
*Hospital Pharmacy Supervisor for Las Vegas, Nevada. Pharmacist candidate must have a PharmD and multiple years of hospital pharmacy management experience. (Compensation is exceptional, but there will be no relocation provided for this position.)
Why wait until your hospital shuts down or gets into more financial trouble before having a look around? Amherst Healthcare has taken a step towards being preemptive and we think that you should too!
